Background
Visitors to the »collector’s residence« are literally treated as if they had been invited into the home of a tobacco lover who in his private rooms and adjoining workshop collects machines, tools and memorabilia associated with the history of the tobacco industry in Oranienbaum.
As the host appears to have just left the building, visitors are free to relax in his living room while sitting in his elegant leather armchairs, browsing through his books, or admiring his collection. The private atmosphere is enhanced by black Dutch Design readymade-furniture assembled from both antique and new parts.
