Berlin Wall Trail

In 2006 gewerkdesign created a signage system for the the Berlin Wall hiking and bike trail, which traces the course of the former GDR border fortifications encircling West Berlin. During the course of the 160 km long train gewerkdesign’s simple orange signs point out historical sites and, similar to the well known »stolpersteine«, honour the memory of the 46 people, who were kille trying to cross the border.
